Two days and one night Elephant Training Program – experience being a Mahout, learn how to handle and care for the Elephants!

This Mahout course is one of the most popular activities at the Thai Elephant Conservation Centre. If you are a real elephant lover this training program is for you.

Day 1:

08.00 – 08.30 – Ceremony to respect GRANETCHA (God of elephant), receive your handbook and mahout clothing.

09.00 – 11.00 – Learn about elephant habits and command words. Introduction to the mahout and your elephant and start training.

11.00 – 12.00 – Ride the elephant to the centre to visit baby elephants and the elephant hospital.

12.00 – 13.00 – Lunch

13.15 – 13.30 – See how the mahouts bath the elephants

13.30 – 14.10 – Watch the elephant show

14.10 – 14.30 – Learn to make paper from elephant dung

14.30 – 15.00 – Ride the elephant back to school

15.00 – 16.00 – Take your elephant to the Elephant bath and then take them back to the jungle for the night.

16.00 – 18.00 – Free time

 

Day 2:

06.30 – 07.00 – Collect the elephant from the jungle

08.00 – 09.00 – Breakfast and then prepare your belongings to ride the elephant to the jungle camp

11.00 – 12.00 – Arrive at the jungle camp and have lunch

13.30 – 14.30 – Ride the elephant back to school

15.30 – 16.00 – Arrive at the school/ Certificates awarded/ Saying goodbye

 

Cost: 8,000 baht per person (Minimum 2 persons)

Price Includes: All meals, Insurance, Mahout clothing and accommodation
